Basic Membership is free to anyone and includes participation in the discussion forum, social networking with other members, and access to Jobs and Events.

University Membership is available now to PhD-granting institutions. When a university subscribes, it gains access to the Premium Content Area for its graduate students.

Individual Membership will be available eventually but is not available at this time.  If you are currently affiliated with an institution (i.e. if you are an enrolled student or employed as faculty or staff), you can help bring VPhD to your university by following the instructions soon to be posted here.  If you are not currently affiliated with an institution, you will eventually be able to self-pay for an individual membership.  If you would like to provide input as these plans are developed, please email me:

Mentor Membership is free, but by invitation only. Mentors are individuals who have provided consistently high-quality advice to the community over a long period of time. Mentor membership includes everything available to basic members, plus access to the premium content area.  It is free, but requires a commitment to continue providing quality advice to members of the Versatile PhD community.
