Internet Explorer Issues

If you are having problem with this site on Internet Explorer …

a) Clear you browser cache
b) Make sure you have performed the latest windows updates.
c) You might try “Compatibility View.”

Clear the Cache in I.E. 9

Once your browser is open, click the gear at the top right to open the settings menu. Then, select Safety and Delete Browsing History… Or, optionally you may simply press Ctrl-Shift-Delete to open the Delete Browsing History window.

Select as many items as you can. But the most important are:

– Temporary Internet Files
– Cookies

Compatibility View

In August 2011, the VPhD site was upgraded, and with the upgrade, the site should function well with I.E. 9. However, if you are having problems, try the following.

Go to Tools-Compatibility View in the main menu. Once you select this option, it should become checked.

Curiously, it may not necessarily work when was simply added to the list of sites in “Tools-Compatibility View Settings.”

Make sure you actually see the check mark next to Tools-Compatibility View in the main menu.
